The girls are grown up.

Kiran is growing fast she makes proper sentence now that takes me by surprise every other day, her statements like “this is unfair”, “get off my way”, “I am very tired”, “can I come with you”, “do you love me”, the best of all is “it’s not me its akka”.

Kirti and Kiran both get along well, Kiran finds it hard if Kirti is not around and whenever Kirti is summoned for wrong doings Kiran would say “please don’t beat akka… maaa” it’s the same with Kirti. No matter how she has grown up she still has has not given up on her bolster, everywhere she goes we need to make sure that is one of the item in our check list. Hahaha

Kirti and Kiran in their traditional “pattu pavadai” they all decked up for prayers.

Kirti’s concert.

Practicing songs and act every day, it was fun watching her sing and act; finally the day came and Kirti was so excited. There was chocolate making session both Kirti & Kiran with their cousins Trisha & Pravin joined and did it.

After the event they served us lunch and then the time came. Kirti was taken and decked up fo

r the concert, she was dressed in pink baju Kurong (the Malay traditional style) the concert theme was “Satu Malaysia”. She was so excited to have makeup on and totally looking pretty. She sang “Rasa Sayang hey rasa sayang sayang hey” song. She recited a Malay riddle, in fact she got me all prepared for the answers and asked me to raise my hand and give out the answer but sadly someone else was picked for the answer and Kirti was disappointed coz it was not me; after the concert she asked me why I didn’t answer hahah. All went well.

Moms Birthday

Kirti and Kiran sang birthday song 4 times today. Kirti tired her best to make birthday cards but she decided to persuade her dad to buy me a gift on her behalf. All their (KK) cousins were there and the girls had great fun. I decided not have birthday cake just lunch with family members should be fine and perfect. But Kirti told her dad that “Birthday should have cakes and must blow candles” so we had no choice but to buy cake. Kirti asked her grand mom and all at home “what did u buy for amma??, today is her birthday” hahah. This birthday is sure a memorable one.

The girls and me

Blessed with 2 Kirti and Kiran they are now 5 year and 3 years, Kirti is studying in kindergarten. Kirti and Kiran are both loving sisters hoping they grow up to share the same kind of love and happiness. Stayed at home for 3 weeks on medical leave, the best day’s coz I could stay with the girls and watch their routine, Kiran waiting for Kirti to be back from school and feed lunch for the girls. Kirti with all her stories when she is back from school, Kirti bring party bags and sharing with Kiran. Its nice to spend time with the girls, hoping to have financial freedom so I could spend a lot of time with them.

Kiran new looks.

Kiran was so excited in getting her ears pierced; all at home were mentally getting her prepared for this worrying that she will cry in pain. Luckily she was in a good mood yesterday; Kirti, Pravina and Trisha were there to cheer her up. She wanted a pink stoned earring but since there was no pink color. Kirti convinced Kiran saying “Purple is my favorite color even amma’s”, finally it was over and all happy. I insisted not having Thiru during this event coz Kiran attached to thiru and she will cry, evil me.

Kirti’s First Disappointment.

Kirit was set to go for coloring contest conducted in Tamil school by Tamil Mandram. Then (Kirti’s aunt) bought Kirti, Trisha and Pravin to the contest I did not follow them; Kirti was all decked up in “Pattu Pavadai” (long skirt – traditional dress) very excited to go for the contest. The contest was supposed to be at 4:30 but there were some delay since many other events combined. Kirti got home at 10:00 at night ‘Then’ dropped Kirti at home and Thiru was the first to see her; the moment she saw Thiru she landed up crying and saying “appa, I did not win in the contest” in multiple sobs. When I saw her she was all tears and with a puffy nose, she hugged me to say “mom I did not win in the contest” my heart sunk and I felt the hurt.
She always took things lightly, never really bothered but this was the first time I saw her cry that much. She could not get over it at all, for everything she had to say I did not win and the best part was her cousin (Trisha and Pravin) won the contest that added on to her sorrow.
Well she never let it go there, she drew the picture that was given in the contest and colored it to show what she did.
I sat with her to say it was because she colored fast and did not color within boundaries and hence she could not get the prize. Although she realizes her mistakes she cannot accept the fact that she did not win in the contest.
Hope he learns from this, to put her heart and soul in everything she does and not be hurt like this anymore.

The unbelievable truth

This is really surprising, Every night I read stories or sing songs to put Kirti and Kiran to sleep. Kiran sleeps in the cradle and with the lights off she knows that it’s the limit and can’t fool around, will fall asleep rocking the cradle all by herself.

Kirti has been a trouble it’s really hard for her to close her eyes and fall asleep. She will have so many things to say and wants me to read stories and sing rhymes, after all that I will feel sleepy and most of the days she will put me to sleep and wonder what time she slept.
These days since I have so much to listen and say to Kirti and Kiran I stopped sing lullaby to Kirti and persistently avoided me singing that particular song “close your eyes and sleep” I thought that she got bored of that song and is refusing to listen to it since I have been singing this song for her to sleep from the day 1 she was born.

But she confessed to me that she don’t want to listen to the song coz she feels sleepy when she hears the song. I thought she was kidding but to my surprise she does fall asleep in few minutes. It’s kinda engraved in her brain that she ought to sleep when she hears that lullaby and she as refusing to hear it. Hahahah So it’s easy for me to put her to sleep now, I don’t have to spend hours trying to put her to sleep. Hahaha
