The girls are grown up.

Kirti is going to be 4 years this June 8 2009 and Kiran is 1 year 7 months now. They have fights and most of the time Kiran get her way out. Kirti gives in and says “Nevr mind mon, she is a baby” so cute right.
I try my best to match their dress when I take them out, Kirti’s favorite place is “Giant” (shopping mall).
Dad and the girls.

Real Challenge

Kirti and Kiran are really demanding these days and I have to go all out to please their needs. Kirti expects me to carry her and so does Kiran. Every evening I get back home they wait for me at the gate and expect to be carried; there are times where I carry them both together. This is a picture of both Kirti and Kiran when they were 6 months old, with the same dress that I used for a photo shoot.

First holiday for Kirti & Kiran - Cameroon Highlands

It was on 6 Jun 2008, thiru and I left the house around 6:00 in the morning along with Then’ family (my sister in law), reached Rawang and Kirti was so excited asking me “mom please take me to Cameroon Highlands” that sounded so sweet. We packed and left around 9:30 in the morning, reached around 1:20 in the afternoon. Kirti was so excited, we had been to strawberry park and that was the first time Kirti had ice cream in life. She was running all over the place and asking me to take pictures of her. Unfortunately it was raining and we could cover only a few parts. Kiran was equally excited, she was quite looking around the place and wanted to grab and have all the things that she came across. Kiran is very easy to handle unless she is hungry or she is hurt. We had a family function at Cameroon and hence made it a holiday aswell, Kirti and Kiran were all cranky and uneasy all through the function, that was the only bad time of the entire holiday. It was cold though they both managed themselves with it and were real darlings. Kirti is going to turn 3 years after a day and Kiran is 9 months old and since she is of the smaller size group she was easy to be carried around. Kiran was all smiles and Kirti was all laughs. The best part was not realizing that Kirti is in Cameroon she asked me “mom namba Cameroon highlands povalamma?”(shall we go to Cameroon highlands mom) hahaha I loved it “mom namba Cameroon highlands povalamma?”

Swimming experience

Kirti was so excited to go for her first swimming day. Thiru was away me ad athai had brought her to Sunway Club. The moment she went into the shower she was so excited, she crossed her arms and shrugged her shoulders to say “I am so happy mom” and she nearly told it 10 times in the 20 minutes she spent in the water. I called thiru and got Kirti speak to him she said “appa I am so happy”, thiru couldn’t understand as it was a baby slang and the line was not clear. Kiran was sitting with her grandmom and watching Kirti and me and smiling seeing her sister Kirti smile and happy running from small pool to bigger one. Kiran has a wonderful smile I've ever kown.

My trip to India

I was so excited and was 3 months pregnant, it was saravaan’ (cousin’) wedding and I badly wanted to attend the wedding. I was very skeptical as I had to leave Kirti and go. Well I finally managed to get leave sanctioned for 10 days it was 15 days inclusive Sat and Sun. I was there at the airport and Kirti was attached to her grandmother, I hugged and kissed her so many times as this was the first time I was away from Kirti.I land at Bangalore and so eagerly waiting to see Dad and Ranjan (my sister), I saw them holding a bouquet for me and I hugged to them and hugged them. It was nearly 5 years since I saw ranjini, she was grown so big and looked like a lady. I had a wonderful time at the wedding having Thiru call me everyday and letting me know how Kirti was doing. Thiru made to point to come home early everyday and take her outing without fail, she was walking and he would say that she ran and ran here and there, it was very difficult to manage her. Thiru used to pass the line to Kirti to talk to me she would say “amma amma” and she would repeat the words thiru asked her to talk. The moment I hear her voice I would jump and find a calm place such that I get a all that she speaks. It was all over the 14 days just flew off even before I realized. Thiru called me on Thursday to check on my flight timing and only then did I realize I was worng thinking that I need to fly back on Saturday but instead it was Friday night flight. If not for his call I would’ve missed my flight. I could hardly spend time with my friends, I only spent some time with Nayeema and had been to meena’s house with Pramod for dinner. I was torn apart after knowing that I had to leave a day before as I planned to spend some time with my friends, I was crying to leave my people back in India and fly back. It was Saturday morning and around 9:00 am I come out to see Thiru, Kirti and athai (my mom-in-law) waiting for me. Kirti was so shy to come to me and after I persuaded her she came to me and hugged me. She asked me “engge pooneega amma??”(where had u been amma?). I could feel that she was grown big and I missed so many things.

Kirti 2nd Birthday.

It always happens that Kirti has more that one birthday cake, since it was a school holiday and Kirti had been to her aunts place in Rawang. Pavithra (Kirti’ cousin) was performing her first stage performance at an event. We had been there for the performance and cut her b’day cake there. Came back home the same day and the next day Thiviya and Barath (Kirti’ cousins) joined and we had invited a few more people for the b’day and it was her second birthday cake.Well I was so tired because I was 7 months pregnant. It was a wonderful celebration because we organized the party all of a sudden and I had to do a lot of running around was tiring and fun though.

Blessed with another princess –Kiran

It was 27 Aug 2007, Since thiru had been to India and I was alone at home, it was school holidays so athai mama and Kirti were in Rawang (SIL’ place). Uma (my sis) and her family stayed back after Thivya and Barath (my niece & nephew) made a fuss of me being alone. The next morning around 2 I started have pain and I managed it for couple of hours and woke up uma and told her about the pain. I asked my jij (my BIL) to send the children to school by then me and uma will go to the hospital, in case of emergency we shall call him. Since the LDP road that I am supposedly to take will be heavy traffic, we left early; yes I drove with the pain and reached the hospital around 7:30 in the morning and waited there for an hour and entered the hospital once the pain worsened. I went into the labor and uma was all panicking and worried all the while. The doc came and got a form signed from uma and got me in to the operation theater or a c-section, I was alone this time. The doc Dr.Fathima (the same gynecologist that attended me for Kirti) she says it’s a baby girl and they take her out and to my surprise she had 2 swirls in her head like Kirti. I see her and I cried. She was welcomed to this world all alone by me. Uma was eagerly waiting for me as she had already seen the baby coz she was the only one waiting for me outside. She called Jij (my Bil) and he informed all the others and they started to call uma and me after that. Kiran was small she was only 3Kg very tiny and pretty. She was of a darker tone compared to Kirti yet beautiful in her own ways. Swathi nakshathiram same like her father’. Thiru came to see her after a week, all said that she looked like him. Kiran was a huge turning point in my life. I managed to switch my job after 7 long years that I was waiting for. I also managed to enroll for Masters that I was waiting for quite some time. Kiran a ray of new hope in my life as her name goes. Thironum nakshthiram and Makara Rasi.

Kirti First B’day

Kirti wore a yellow frock and we had been to the temple brought a cake and gave it to the gurukkal’ at the amman temple near by, since her b’day fell on a Thursday we had to wait for the Saturday i.e. on the 10 June to organize the birthday celebration.Thiru and I had organized her birthday at Maharaja Restaurant, she didn’t know what was happening, and in fact she was not used to crowd and was waiting to know what happened. It was one of her aunts’ b’day as well and we celebrated her birthday together. This was a first event that I had organized in my entire life. She had worn a pink frock with frills. I was so proud of being a mother of her. She could hardly stand; her grandmother carried her whilst Kirti was cutting the cake. It’s a Barney cake, her favorite cartoon character; all her cousins were so excited to see Barney.

A lullaby for my little princess.

Close your eyes and sleep
My darling little princess

You shall have wonderful dreams
with happiness and joy,
You shall have the God fairy mother
telling you bed time stories.

Chorus

You shall have a rainbow walk,
to the fairy land.
you shall see lots of flowers
with lovely colors.

Chorus

La la la la la la la
Um um mmmmmm

Well it all came through my heart in a flow and I’ve been singing this for her all the time to put her to sleep.

My darling little princess – Kirti

Its Wednesday morning on 8 June 2005 at 2:30pm in Kelana Medial Center, Thiru holding my hand I could barely hear, I could only see Thiru and suddenly he holds my hand tight with a bright smile and he said “she looks so cute” and “she looks like Barath(my nephew)”. Thiru was so happy I could see it in his eyes. I hear her cry; she cried making a huge noise whilst I was still being laid on the bed. After a while I was shown this beautiful face of my beloved princess believe me she sure was, with her eyes opened as though he was looking for me. Suddenly I realized that my pain vanished into the thin air. I fell asleep and found myself in the ward waiting to have a second look at her. She is so pretty and I’ve never seen anything as beautiful as her. She was 3.1 Kg so tiny and sweet. We named her Kirti, she was definitely a big fame for me as her name goes. Thrruvathara Nakshathirum, Mithuna Rasi.
