It was in the evening when Then called me for tea to her house and while the girls and me took a walk to her house I saw my neighbor washing his car. I wished him “selamat hari raya” (Eid Mubarak) he said thanks, I asked him a few more question and the conversation hadn’t lasted a minute. I walk past him and Kirti asked me “Amma, is he your boy friend???” my neighbor would have heard her was so embarrassed to turn to say sorry. I said “No, he is our neighbor” and Kirti didn’t stop there she asked me “Do you have a boy friend???”. I said no and she asked me again “Tell me the truth… do you have a boy friend”. I wanted to be smart so I said “I do and his name is Thiru” for which she said “No mom he is your husband not your boy friend” I laughed and said “Ok enough of this boy friend stuff”. Kirti made a sad face and said “I don’t have a boy friend??? When will I get one amma”, I told her “You grow big, study get a job for yourself and the rest will be taken care by GOD as how it happen to amma”. Although Kirti was not happy with my answer she said ok and suddenly I heard Kiran say “I don’t have boy friend I only have girl friend and she has a long hair” hahahah all the three of us laughed.

these girls make me think how i was when i was as little as them.
ReplyDeletealmost similar incident happened.. once we were going to a b'day party. As I wore the outfit, niks commented that it's a sexy dress and all the guys at the party will get attracted to me. I replied, "no worry as you are with me guys will know that I am married and I have a son too, so no one will bother". He said, "As papa isn't there with us at the party guys will think that you are single and ready to mingle" :D. Kids these days are way too smart than what we used to be at the same age. They are ready with their answers and sometimes we are speechless in front of them.
ReplyDeletehahahah that is a cute one. "single ready to mingle" hahah
